LSS 2013 Closing Keynote: Foursquare

LSS 2013In roughly two weeks on November 19 I’ll be in London for the Local Social Summit. If you’re in Europe or thinking about attending you should definitely come. It’s a terrific event with a very interesting agenda.

The closing keynote — an “in conversation with” fireside chat actually — will feature me interviewing Omid Ashtari, Foursquare’s managing director for Europe. We’ll be talking about usage trends, local search and recommendation innovations, merging online and offline data and SMBs on the platform.

I’ll be asking Omid about strategies and tactics Foursquare plans to use to try and migrate the 1.5 million SMBs using the site to paid advertisers. Omid spoke a few years ago at LSS and it was really interesting, informal and well received. In this setting the audience gets a lot more Q&A access to the speaker than at conventional conferences.

Along those lines, if you have any questions you think I should ask him, please let me know in the comments below or by email.
